In 1985 we opened our first gallery in a new mall in Memphis, Tennessee. We filled our "hole in the wall" to the brim with paintings, pottery, sculpture, and other art. Nearby was a splashing water fountain and because we all enjoyed the constant serenade we decided to name our gallery for that lovely fountain.
The concept was unique! Our small space was stacked and crowded with all the art we could possibly stuff into it. Our visitors enjoyed sorting and searching trying to discover their real treasures. Even though the space was small our receptions were huge. We set them up just outside the gallery where people could enjoy music and wine and freely go in and out of the gallery admiring our work.
We now have twenty artists offering a great variety of art in the beautiful Chickasaw Oaks shopping center. All of us are Mid-South artists, equally sharing gallery space and responsibilities. Our goal is to offer the best local art in Memphis in a warm, inviting setting.
