Peggy Pollard Felsenthal, painter of flowers, still life and landscapes in oil and watercolour, is trying to learn to "see". She has obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College and a Master of Arts in English literature from the University of Memphis.Throughout these studies the goal was the same - learn to see and feel and transfer those sights and feelings to a two dimensional surface. Ms. Felsenthal taught art and English in the Memphis City Schools and is now a professional painter and partner in Fountain Art Gallery. She is represented in public and private collections across the country and was named a favorite local painter by readers of Memphis Woman Magazine. Throughout her career, Ms. Felsenthal has traveled to the great museums and cities of the western hemisphere and studied painting with fine teachers, among them, Joyce Pike, Joe Anna Arnett and Ted Goershener. |
