Marty, a native Memphian, now resides in Middleton, Tennessee, with her husband, Bob, on Rogers Springs Lake. Many of her florals and landscapes are taken from their lakeside property views. Her paintings incorporate transparent watercolors, rich oils, mixed media abstracts, and collage. The artist received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee and the University of Memphis, with post graduate work at the University of Tennessee and Rutgers University. She has studied professionally with many nationally-renowned artists, as well as many local professional artists. Marty is a platinum star artist with the Memphis/Germantown Art League, a member of the Jackson Art Association, and the Tennessee Watercolor Society. Marty has shown her work throughout the Southeast and received numerous awards and purchase prizes. The artist is represented in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, including BancorpSouth, First South Bank, The Jackson Clinic, Magna Bank and Environmental Management and Engineering, Inc. of Nashville. The Artist recently was honored with a one person show at the West Tennessee Regional Art Center. Marty's works may currently be seen at Palladio's, Market Central and Fountain Art Gallery in Memphis, Tennessee. |
